Gongqin Xiao is professor of history at the Shanghai Normal University. He is the author of Good-bye to Political Romanticism (2001), Collected Works of Gongqin Xiao (1995), and The Dilemma of Confucian Culture (1986). He has published several influential articles on Chinese politics in Strategy and Management, China’s leading policy journal.
